Year 3/4 Cluster News
It’s Swimming Week!
We have had a change of location for swimming this year, and we are going to Parafield Gardens Swim Centre.
2/3T plus the following students will be leaving GGLPS at 11:30, and swimming from 12:00 - 1:00. They will arrive back to school at approximately 1:45:
Amelie, George, Avina, Frankie G, Harley, Sustika, Aria M, Kyle, Mehreet, Billy, Ryan, Thomas, Kai
The remaining 3/4s will be leaving GGLPS at 12:40, swimming from 1:10 - 2:10, and arrive back at school by 2:50.
Students are encouraged to wear their bathers to school, underneath their PE uniform - which they can wear all week!
Friendly reminders:
- Please wear appropriate swimwear
- Don't forget a towel, goggles, change of dry clothes (including underwear!), thongs/slides
- Label everything!
Home Inquiry
Reading: Aim to read 15 minutes at home per night.
Word Study- No Word Study this week, due to Swimming
Mathematics: As part of our Mathematics learning, we are continuing to explore measurement, and expanding our understanding of decimals as parts of a whole.
Unit of Inquiry: In our Unit of Inquiry, Where We Are In Place and Time, we are exploring how people connect to place. This week, throughout Reader’s and Writer’s workshop and lessons of Inquiry, we continue to explore Australian culture and begin to unpack Indigenous Cultures.
