Year 7 and 8 Tennis

On Monday of Week 2, the Year 7 and 8 tennis teams headed to Ballarat for the Eureka tennis tournament. On what was a cold and windy day, the teams represented the school incredibly well despite the challenging conditions.

The Year 7 boys split into two teams, with little tennis experience between them. Over the course of the day, their skills and knowledge of the rules improved significantly. There were even quite a few wins throughout the day. The B team finished 3rd overall, and the A team finished 4th.

The Year 8 girls team competed well all day, winning many of their games. With some prior experience playing tennis, they were able to focus more on skills and strategy, with the aid of expert coach, Ian Trigg.

A big thanks to Mr Webb, Mr Severino, Mr Trigg and Faye for their help on the day.
