We smashed the first game with a great win against University High School with a final score of 4.3.27 to 4.1.25.

Isla MacLatchy won the hit outs very convincingly, knocking them to Tessa Berryman. Tessa gave an incredible performance, dominating out of the midfield alongside Poppy Dohrman who was silky smooth with her skills too. Zoe Wood and Lily Swearer had incredible forward craft, working together to score and assist our goals.

Our second and final match against Melbourne Girls College was very rough. The girls fought extremely hard to stay in the game, however MGC walked away with a big win - 4.3.27 to 0.

Ainsley Jones and Isabella Beaten-Ortega were terrific with their tackling pressure and second efforts to shut down the opposing sides play, but unfortunately Isabella had to be ruled out in the last 10 minutes after a distressing knee injury.

Indi Brown was relentless on the wing - bringing constant pressure to the opposition and unleashing extraordinary speed. Sophia Carr and Sophie Pearce were sublime off the half back line, putting a stop to many scoring shots.  Well done to the entire team - who all demonstrated great skills, great teamwork and great sportsmanship.

As coaches, we are really proud of all of the girls efforts during a tough day of great footy!

Teacher - Physical Education

As a teacher, I have noticed students involved in the team are becoming more skilled, confident and focused. Being part of the team teaches them how to work with others, handle pressure, and stay motivated. It’s great to see how those skills carry over into the classroom. Coco and Abbey have been great coaches and mentors to their team mates, too!
