Grade 2 News

In Literacy, our Grade 2 students have been exploring our Inquiry question, What can we learn from the way animals live?
We have been exploring how Arctic animals survive and live in their cold environments. Students chose an animal to investigate, with options including reindeer, penguins, Arctic foxes, beluga whales, harp seals and polar bears.
Using EPIC and websites such as National Geographic Kids, students gathered information about their animal’s appearance, habitat, diet and fun facts. Students then turned their research dot points into complete sentences.
We have been working hard on publishing our writing and creating posters to share with our families. We are so proud of the effort students and can’t wait to share the finished products with you soon!
