Book Week 24 - 28 August
Book Week 2026 - A Symphony of Stories! 🎵
We are excited to celebrate Book Week 2026 next week, with this year’s theme: A Symphony of Stories! There will be lots happening across the week as we celebrate reading, stories and our love of books!
🎭Whole School Book Parade
Monday 24th August at 9:05am
Location: Junior Synthetic Soccer/Football Pitch (Note: The location may change pending on weather conditions). Students are invited to dress as a favourite book character for our whole school parade. Families are warmly invited to attend!
Please only dress up on Monday 24th August. An accompanying book is always handy, and we encourage families to keep costumes creative, simple and budget-friendly. There is no need to spend lots of money - we love homemade costumes and creativity!
🌳 Find the Book Character Hunt
Keep an eye out around The Birches for our Book Character Hunt! Students, families and classes can join in before, during or after school. Details and printouts can be collected from the library in Week 7. Note: Please support the 'Look but don't touch' approach so everyone can enjoy the fun!
🔄 Book Swap – Friday 28th August for Levels 1–6
For the Book Swap: Bring a book → Take a book!
Donations can start coming in early. If you have multiple books to donate, we are very happy to accept extras to ensure everyone has the opportunity to take a book home. Note: Prep students will participate in a Book Share instead.

Scholastic Book Club
All Scholastic Book Club orders have been delivered to classrooms this week. There is one outstanding order and they have been contacted. If you have any queries please contact us in the Library.
