Dear Families,
We celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation for 16 of our Year 5/6 students and 2 past students of Sacred Heart on Friday evening. It was a beautiful Mass, presided over by our parish priest, Father Aloysius who made the sacrament quite personal and extra special for our families and the Confirmation candidates.
Huge congratulations goes to: Kaitlyn, Tristan, Azariah, Samantha, Suzanna, Laura Georgia, Yianna, Luke, Shamus, Brenton, Amy, Natalie, Callix, Lawrence, Martin, Anh, Victoria.
Confirmation is the final sacrament of inititation in the Catholic faith and the students renewed the promises made by their parents and godparents when they were baptised. Father anointed students with chrism oil, signing the cross on the candidates foreheads saying, "Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit''.
Thank you to our families, sponsors and the students who contributed to this faith filled event.
Big thanks go to Marty and Davide who assisted with the music and the parents of the small but mighty choir who gave up their time on a Friday evening to share their talents. Thank you to: Jazlyn, Tazlyn, Ava, Layla, Aisha, Abigail, Sharlotte.
EUCHARIST
It is a busy Term!
So we now turn to the Sacrament of First Eucharist for our Year Four students which will be celebrated on Sunday 21st of June at the 10.30am Sacred Heart Parish Mass. Information will be sent out to families this week regarding this special sacrament.
WELLBEING
In the coming weeks, each class will take part in a short wellbeing survey. This will provide information regarding our students thoughts and feelings on their wellbeing, the
schoolyard, friendships and learning at Sacred Heart. The wellbeing team will analyse this data as we do with Literacy and Numeracy and use it to shape our priorities and approaches in Wellbeing for the remainder of Term 2 and plan ahead for Term 3.
