Dear Sacred Heart Community,

'Together We Grow'

Our theme for 2026 has been 'Together, We Grow', as exemplified by this beautiful artwork designed by our Year 3/4 students. I see so many examples of this theme on a daily basis at our school. Whether it's school leaders like Massie and Mason giving up their time to ref a F-2 soccer game, or the senior students looking out for the junior kids on the playground, we are very lucky to have the tight knit community that we are. Friday night was further evidence of this. I saw it in our parish church with the Sacred Heart community coming together to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. Congratulations to all involved in making it such a wonderful celebration and a deeply religious experience for the students involved. 

Buddy Program

Throughout the week, as the senior students involved in the Sacrament were focussed on their special occasion, other students in Year 5/6 were given the chance to work with their buddies in the Foundation room. The little ones were finding out how special The Bible is and that it holds many wonderful stories. The students learnt the story about 'The Lost Sheep' and came to an understanding that God's love is centred on each and every one of us. A big thankyou to the buddies who helped the students with the activity that followed the story...it was greatly appreciated!

And finally, thanks to James and the Camp Crew for bringing this back as a gift. It definitely worked its charm in the Dreamtime game!
