Athletics Carnival 2026: A Brilliant Day of Sport!

What a sensational day! The St Anthony’s Clovelly Athletics Carnival was an absolute triumph, bursting with energy, high spirits and an incredible sense of community. Even with the unpredictable weather keeping us on our toes, the entire school community rallied together to ensure the day was an unforgettable experience for our students, staff and families.

Huge Thanks to Our Parents and Teachers

A massive thank you to the wonderful army of parent volunteers who generously donated their time and energy. Whether you were setting up gazebos, measuring jumps, or cheering from the sidelines, your support was invaluable. Quite simply, the day could not have run so seamlessly without you!

Our teaching staff also deserve a massive round of applause for keeping our athletes motivated, safe and focused on fair play. A special shout-out goes to Miss Cheryl for her tireless enthusiasm and stellar organisation of the novelty events for Kindergarten and Year 1. Her encouragement ensured our youngest competitors felt like superstars, sparking a fantastic early love for track and field.

Track and Field Highlights & Standout Performances

The competitive track program was packed with action, featuring the grueling 1500m and 800m events alongside the explosive 200m and 100m sprints. Meanwhile, the field came alive with students showcasing their power and technique in the shot put, high jump and long jump.

It was inspiring to watch our athletes dig deep. The distance runners showed immense grit and mental stamina—propped up by the cheers from the grandstands—while the sprinters left everything on the track in thrilling, nail-biting finishes. Across every age group, students displayed outstanding sportsmanship.
