My Christian School
My Christian School
Last night I had the privilege of attending a meeting in Launceston hosted by the My Christian School organisation. Four hundred teachers and parents from around the State gathered to hear good news stories about the work Christian schools in Tasmania are doing as they educate and support students.
A number of Senators also attended and shared their appreciation for the work Christian Schools do in the State. They pledged their support in terms of advocating for parents’ rights to choose the school that best suits their family.
The challenge Christian Schools are facing currently is that changes may be made which could mean we are no longer able to prioritise the employment of Christian staff as well as restricting the ways Christian teachers teach our students.
As a mother I valued the Christian Education my children received from the loving capable Christian teachers who taught them. The Christian Education they provided supported their personal walk with God and helped them achieve their academic and vocational goals. It is now wonderful to have my eldest grandchild also receiving a Christian Education, where his parents know their family values and faith is reinforced by the vision and mission of the school.
Should you want more information about the upcoming changes to government policy or be encouraged by stories from other parents of students at Christian schools, please use the link to access the My Christian School Website - https://mychristianschool.au/.
