Senior School swimming has commenced at Broadmeadows Leisure Centre. If you would like to attend & assist your young person, please contact Amelia amelia.frantz@education.vic.gov.au
The Cape Open Day is on Wednesday 6 May from 10am - 2pm. If your young adult in the coming years, it would be worth visiting. Cape provides structured workplace employment for clients with a disability. It can be funded through NDIS. https://www.cape.org.au/ Please see the flyer below.

Room 19
Term 2 has officially begun. We are delighted to see our students returning to school with smiles, reuniting with friends and teachers. The campus is once again filled with warmth and joy.
This term, the long-awaited swimming lessons will finally begin. This is an activity that our students have been looking forward to, and we believe it will bring not only fun but also help build physical coordination and self-confidence.
Throughout this new term, Class 19 will continue to offer a variety of enriching activities and learning content, with a focus on nurturing interests and developing abilities. Guided by the philosophy of "learning through joy," we aim to support every student’s steady growth in a relaxed, orderly, and encouraging environment.
We place special emphasis on helping each child progress step by step and gradually develop independence and self-reliance. Whether it’s a small daily task or a new attempt in learning, every effort is worth celebrating.
Thank you for your continued trust and cooperation. Together, let us begin a Term 2 filled with hope and happiness.
Room 22
We had a great Term 1and completed lots of work and activities. We have been learning about phonics through the LLL program and applying consonant blends at the beginning and ends of words. In Mathematics, we have been learning to collect and represent data by questioning our class members and tallying responses. On Thursdays, we participate in the HOL Canteen program in the Yaluk Building kitchen, coordinating food orders and learning about preparing food and kitchen hygiene. We have furthered our cooking skills and are developing our gardening skills each week in the SAKG program. On Monday afternoons we have been doing our bit for the environment by collecting recycled paper and cardboard from the classrooms for the council recycling bins.
We have enjoyed participating in Term 1 school events. Some highlights have been Harmony Day, Ramadan Parade and Jacanarama. This week we are attending the swimming program at the Broadmeadows Aquatic Centre and are developing our water safety skills. We are looking forward to our excursion to Broadmeadows Shopping Centre in Week 3.
