Student Support Group

This term, we will be holding our Student Support Group (SSG) meetings for all students. These meetings are an important part of our school’s approach to supporting each child’s individual learning and wellbeing.

SSGs bring together families, teachers, and relevant support staff to review student progress, celebrate achievements, and plan next steps. They provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP), including goals, strategies, and the supports in place to help them succeed.

The strength of SSG meetings lies in the partnership between home and school. Families know their child best, and your insights, experiences, and priorities are essential in shaping meaningful and achievable goals. By working collaboratively, we can ensure consistency between school and home, leading to better outcomes for your child.

During the meeting, we will:

  • Review progress towards current IEP goals

  • Discuss your child’s strengths and areas for growth

  • Identify strategies and supports to enhance learning and wellbeing

If you have any specific questions or information you would like to discuss, we encourage you to note these ahead of time so we can make the most of our meeting together.

We value your ongoing partnership and look forward to working together to support your child’s continued growth and success.

SSG meetings will be held Mondays to Thursdays starting 11th May until 28th May. Letters will be sent home to all families with information how to book through XUNO.
