Child Safety

Our highest priority

Child Safe Standard 9 – Equity is Upheld and Diverse Needs are Respected

At Resurrection School, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for every child.

Child Safe Standard 9 focuses on ensuring that equity is upheld and that the diverse needs of children and young people are respected. This means recognising that every child is unique and may require different supports to feel safe, included and able to participate fully in school life.

We work to ensure that all students are treated fairly and respectfully, regardless of their background, abilities, culture, family circumstances, identity or individual needs. We listen to students and take their views seriously, particularly when they raise concerns about their safety or wellbeing.

Our staff are committed to:

  • creating an inclusive and respectful school environment
  • recognising and responding to individual student needs
  • ensuring students have opportunities to participate and have their voices heard
  • challenging discrimination, exclusion and disrespectful behaviour
  • working in partnership with families and support professionals where additional support is required.

We encourage students and families to speak with a staff member if they have concerns about a student's safety, inclusion or wellbeing. Every child has the right to feel safe, respected, valued and included at Resurrection School.
