Lunchtime Clubs

This week was filled with excitement as we started our very first week of new lunchtime clubs!

On Monday our first session of choir club began and we were practicing a special song for our upcoming visit to an aged care home. I am so excited to perform for them and I am sure it will be lots of fun to go out and share joy with the community.

Also big thank you to Mrs Cajili for all the wonderful work and time she puts into Choir.

Then on Tuesday to continue the fun we had Garden Club! Our school garden is looking healthy and green right now and we are continuing to grow all different types of vegetables and fruit. Miss Michelle and Anne are doing an amazing job of looking after our school garden and thank you to all the students who participate and help out as well. Garden club is for sure a blast!

We also had Cooking club on Tuesday and it was our very first time doing it! It was with the Year 5s and 6s and it was soooo much fun. We got into groups of 4 to 5 and we made chocolate chip cookies. We first gathered all the ingredients and then started to bake. In the end we all shared the cookies equally and they were so delicious to eat. A big thank you to Mrs M and Mrs Whatmore for running Cooking club and taking their time to make this club come alive.

Then on Wednesday, we had Book and Mindful Colouring Club in the library! It was really peaceful and heaps of students came along to join in. We all had the best time relaxing with some colouring and we are so excited to start an awesome new book journey together! A big shout out and thank you to Mrs Dolling for running Book and Mindful Colouring Club and for starting a new activity.

Then on Thursday, we had an epic Soccer tournament for Years 4, 5, and 6! There were heaps of different teams playing, including the green team, orange team, light blue team and non-bibs team. It was lots of fun and super competitive and in the end the light blue team won the whole tournament! A massive shout out to William in Year 6, who played extremely well and scored 6 amazing goals in just 4 games! Also, a huge thank you to Mrs Sam and Mr Simpson for running the whole tournament and putting it all together.
