This week we remembered all those who served in wars on November 11th. One of the titles we have is the classic called “All quiet on the Western Front” by Erich Maria Remarque which is really an anti war novel written from a World War 1 German soldier’s point of view. History is often seen from the victor’s perspective but in “All quiet on the Western Front” we see the depravity of war where German school boys go off to fight full of optimism and then find themselves in horrible circumstances.
