'Our 2026 Year 12 students have hit the ground running with their HSC Standard English course, beginning with the core module, 'Texts and Human Experience'.

For their study of the renowned Australian poet Kenneth Slessor, students have been treated to a series of special "Slessor Sessions". These are structured as university-style lectures with Q&A, offering an engaging and advanced approach to their learning.

This week, Mr. Herb led an intricate exploration of Slessor's poignant poem, 'Beach Burial'. The students responded brilliantly, actively annotating the text and demonstrating a keen eagerness to share their own interpretations and ideas in response to the questions posed.
