R.E. News

As we come to the end of the term, we enter into the sacred season of Holy Week. Holy Week is a journey much like a pilgrimage where we walk closely with Jesus through the final days of his life, leading us to the great celebration of Easter.
Throughout this time, all students will take part in leading our Holy Week prayer services, helping our school community to reflect on these important events.
Palm Sunday, March 29th, 2026
We begin by remembering Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where he was welcomed by crowds waving palm branches. This day reminds us of Jesus’ humility and the hope of the people who welcomed him as their king.
Holy Thursday, April 2nd, 2026
On this day, we recall the Last Supper, where Jesus shared a final meal with his disciples and gave us the gift of the Eucharist. It is also a time to reflect on Jesus’ call to love and serve one another.
Good Friday, April 3rd, 2026
We pause to reflect on the solemn events of Jesus’ crucifixion. This day invites us to consider the depth of Jesus’ love and the sacrifice he made for all.
Easter Sunday, April 5th, 2026
Finally, we celebrate the joy of Easter, the resurrection of Jesus Christ! This is the most important celebration in our Church, reminding us that life triumphs over death and giving us renewed hope.
Easter lies at the heart of our Catholic faith, reminding us of God’s endless love and the hope we have in Jesus. We encourage all families to take time during this season to reflect, pray together, and to join us for our Holy Week prayer services and parish Easter celebrations.
Wishing you and your family a blessed and joyful Easter.
