Buddies Afternoon Tea
On Thursday, 12th March, the Year Prep and Six buddies came together with their families (and teddy bears!) to have afternoon tea together. It was a great opportunity for families to meet each other and celebrate being part of our amazing SMDP community. Thank you to all those who attended and made the event such a success!
Respectful Relationships
At SMDP as part of our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) we implement Respectful Relationships. The Respectful Relationships program supports schools to promote and model respect, positive attitudes and behaviours. It teaches our children how to build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence.
Some of the topics covered in the program include emotional literacy, personal strengths, positive coping, problem-solving, stress management, and help-seeking behavior. If you have any questions about Respectful Relationships please don't hesitate to see your child's teacher or myself.
A Reminder for Harmony Day
Next Monday, 23rd March, we are going to be celebrating Harmony Day at SMDP. We are asking everyone to wear a pop or splash of orange. Our Wellbeing Leaders, Aoife and Evan spoke about Harmony Week at our Assembly this week, and designed the poster below. Please support their work so we can see lots of splashes of orange next Monday! 🧡
