Term 4 Week 9
Thank you for a fantastic year of reading and community. We hope your holidays are filled with rest, joy, and plenty of great books. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2026 for more stories, more learning, and more library magic
Before we head into the holidays, here's a final reminder of how our library borrowing works and what to do with any books still at home.
Here's how borrowing works in the library:
Reception - Can borrow 4 books
Years 1, 2, 3, 4 - Can borrow 8 books
Years 5 and 6 - Can borrow 10 books
Parents/Caregivers - Can borrow 10 books
Please remember to bring your library bag (Reception and Year 1/2) and return any overdue books before borrowing again. Books may be kept for up to 2 weeks. If you’ve forgotten to return a book, no worries! Just pop it into the returns box when you can.
Students can return books by placing them in their classroom library box or directly into the green returns box in Tirkandi.
Please note that only staff members may use the returns computer. If you come across a book that’s been damaged, please place it gently in the Book Doctor box so it can be repaired.
Computer borrowing is available for Years 3 to 6 each morning from 8:40am to 8:50am. These computers are for students who have damaged their own device or forgotten to bring it.
All borrowed computers must be returned to the library by the end of the day.
If a computer is forgotten three times, borrowing will pause for three days.
If it happens again, the restriction period will be extended.
The library policy regarding overdue, lost, or damaged books is as follows:
If the book is found later, the full amount will be reimbursed.
Students will not be able to borrow further books until the overdue book is returned or the replacement fee is paid. All collected fees go directly toward replacing the lost or damaged item.
Happy reading, and have a wonderful break! ✨
