2025 Wrap up

As we approach the end of another school year, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and partnership. Together, we have navigated challenges, celebrated successes, and witnessed the remarkable growth of our students.

Our 65th Anniversary celebration was a wonderful reminder of the strength of our community, how we come together to honour our achievements and celebrate our rich legacy of learning.

Our students have excelled in academics, sports, and the arts, and our dedicated teachers have gone above and beyond to provide high-quality education.

We want to extend a special thank you to our dedicated staff for their tireless efforts. Your passion and commitment to our students have made a significant impact on their lives.

As we look ahead to the new year, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

Wishing you all a safe and happy holidays.

Welcoming New Staff in 2026

As we look ahead to 2026, LNPS is pleased to welcome several new staff members to our team.

Our front office team will be joined by Rosella Loprete, who we are excited to welcome into this important role.

We are also delighted to welcome Addie Milne to our SSO team, supporting learning across the school.

In our teaching team, Alana Shepherdson, Brooke Harris and Emily Haller will be joining the LNPS team. Brooke will be sharing the PE role with Amy Byrnes in the primary years.

Alana and Emily will join the Fisher year 5 team:

  • Alana will be co-teaching with David Smith and Jaymee Martin in Term 1 before beginning her maternity leave.
  • Emily will commence her role in Term 2 as the Year 5 class teacher.

Brooke Alana and Emily completed their final-year teaching placements at LNPS, and we are thrilled to have them return as part of our staff. We look forward to the energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm each of these new team members will bring to our school community.

2026 School Term Dates

Term 1 commences on Tuesday 27th January.

Our first Pupil Free Day is scheduled for Friday 13th February 2026. Staff will be continuing with professional learning from week 0.

Instrumental Music 2026

Lockleys North is excited to welcome back the Department's Instrumental Music Program in 2026. Students in Years 5 and 6 (possibly Year 4) will have the opportunity to learn woodwind instruments, such as the flute, clarinet, and saxophone. More information to come out in Term1, week 1 2026.

Social media age restrictions

From 10 December 2025, many social media platforms won’t be allowed to let Australians under 16 create or have an account. The eSafety Commissioner has important information on this page to help families understand why, and how they can help  under-16 through the change.

Schools are not responsible for enforcing these changes and there are no penalties for children, parents or carers. The responsibility sits entirely with the social media platforms.
