Semester 1 Reports

The Semester 1 Reports became available for you to view in Compass today. As explained on the first page of the report, students are given a grade for each subject, as well as a summary of the engagement they have demonstrated in each area. 

The grade (A-E) reflects the knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to the NSW syllabus outcomes for your child's relevant stage of learning. Your child's achievement is compared to these standards, not to other students. The table below describes the knowledge, understanding and skills that students working at each grade typically demonstrate:

Whether it’s academic progress, personal growth, participation in co-curricular activities, or contributions to school life, every effort matters and deserves to be celebrated. Living Well, Learning Well Awards

At St Joseph’s, we proudly celebrate student success each week by presenting two class awards. The Learning Well Award honours a student who has shown pleasing effort, perseverance or achievement in a nominated area of the curriculum. The Living Well Award recognises a student who exemplifies our school values through respectful behaviour, positive attitudes and outstanding citizenship.
