Lord,
We thank you for the wonderful term we have shared as a school family. Thank you for the growth in our learning, the laughter on the playground, and the friendships that keep us strong.
As we head into the holidays, we ask for your blessings on our families and our local community. Watch over them, keep our travels safe, and refresh our hearts so we may return next term ready to shine your light.
Amen
We are pleased to advise that a Major Relic of St Carlo Acutis will be visiting our Parish on Wednesday, 1st July, as part of a national tour of Australia. This visit has been made possible through an initiative of Bishop Peter Murphy to bring this significant opportunity for prayer and reflection to the Diocese of Armidale. Relics have long held an important place in the Catholic tradition as tangible reminders of the lives and witness of the saints. They invite us to deepen our faith and inspire us to follow Christ more closely through the example of those who have gone before us. Our Stage 3 students will visit the church on Wednesday, 1st July with Mrs Mitchell and the Stage 3 teachers, to view the relic. More information about the relic will be posted on Compass.

We send our love, prayers, and best wishes to our students who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Penance for the very first time next Tuesday. This special milestone is a beautiful reminder of God’s endless love, mercy, and forgiveness. We are incredibly proud of the dedication and reverence these children have shown during their preparation. A big thank you to our parents, carers, and teachers for guiding them on this faith journey. May this be a peaceful and blessed experience for our students and their families as they experience the grace of God’s healing love.

In the spirit of St Mary MacKillop’s reminder to "never see a need without doing something about it," we are launching our St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. As we rug up against the cold, let us keep those experiencing hardship in our thoughts and prayers. We are collecting non-perishable canned food to support local families. We ask that each family sends one can to school with their child to place in their classroom basket. Your small act of charity will bring immense comfort to someone in need this winter.

To continue our support for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal we invite our St Joseph's School community to wear their PJs to school on Thursday and donate a gold coin.
