Year 1 UPDATE

On Tuesday the 26th of May, the year 1 students went to Twisted Science to explore different science experiments. They were split into 2 groups, one exploring the floor with hands-on activities and the other participating in push and pull activities. 

They enjoyed investigating different scientific concepts through interactive challenges and demonstrations. It was wonderful to see students actively engaged, asking thoughtful questions, and showing enthusiasm towards learning in a real-world setting. 

In Numeracy we have been learning about measurement through the potato olympics. The students have created athlete profiles for their potatoes and competed in different events where the students have measured the distance their potato travelled. 

The students have shown a great understanding of the measuring rules, using their feet and other materials within the classroom.
