MATILDA JR. TICKETS

With under 2 weeks until opening night, excitement is building rapidly for our production of Matilda Jr., and tickets continue to sell extremely quickly.

Families are reminded to ensure they purchase tickets for the correct performance evening based on their child's House. House allocations can be viewed through your child's Compass profile.

Production Nights

• Wednesday 17 June – Marram and Dulai Wurrung

• Thursday 18 June – Wallert and Bunjil

Tickets are available through Compass and are priced at $30 each.

The excitement continues to build as we move closer to opening night. Rehearsals are going incredibly well, with students and staff working tirelessly to bring this production to life. There is a real buzz around the school and throughout our community as anticipation grows for these special performances.

A reminder to families that the Compass event for our off-site rehearsal day on Friday 12 June must be approved and paid for prior to the event. This rehearsal is a critical part of our preparation and will provide students with valuable experience in the performance venue before show week.

We cannot wait to showcase the incredible talent, hard work, and dedication of our students and staff. If you haven't secured your tickets yet, we encourage you to do so soon to avoid missing out.

RECONCILIATION WEEK CELEBRATIONS

Last Thursday, our School Captains, Cultural Leaders and Indigenous students travelled with Miss Chadwick and Mrs Barley to the Cardinia Cultural Centre in Pakenham to celebrate Reconciliation Week 2026. The event titled ‘All In’ included a Welcome to Country and a smoking ceremony as well as songs performed by another local school and the All Together Choir. There were activities and Indigenous artefacts for students to engage with and our students represented Orchard Park Primary School respectfully. A great day was had by everyone!

2027 PREP ENROLMENTS

It feels like only yesterday that we were welcoming our 2026 Prep students through the gates for their very first day of school, yet the enrolment process for our 2027 Prep cohort is already underway!

It was wonderful to see so many prospective families attend our Prep Information Session on Wednesday evening. The strong attendance reflected the growing interest in Orchard Park Primary School and provided families with a great opportunity to learn more about our school, programs and community.

A reminder to current Orchard Park families that all future Prep enrolments must be registered via our online Google Form, even if your child already has older siblings attending the school. Completing this form (link on school website) ensures that we have accurate enrolment records and can effectively plan for next year's Prep cohort. All enrolment registrations must be submitted by Friday 31 July.

If you have friends, neighbours or family members outside of our current school community who are considering Orchard Park Primary School for 2027, please encourage them to complete the Google Form prior to the deadline so their enrolment request can be considered as part of our planning process.

Families who would like to learn more about Orchard Park Primary School are also encouraged to book a school tour. Tour dates and registration details can be found in the Enrolments section of our school website. We look forward to meeting many more prospective families over the coming weeks and welcoming the next generation of Orchard Park learners.

CARDINIA DIVISION CROSS COUNTRY FINALS

Last Wednesday, we had 14 students represent Orchard Park Primary School at the Cardinia Division Cross Country Finals.

It was fantastic to see so many of our students progress to this higher level of competition. Throughout the day, they not only competed with determination and resilience against strong opposition but also demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and support for one another.

Every student should be incredibly proud of their efforts. Representing our school at this level is a significant achievement, and our students did so with pride and enthusiasm.

A special congratulations to Emma and Remy, who have qualified for the Region Finals later this term. We wish them all the very best as they continue their cross-country journey.

Well done to all of our runners, we are incredibly proud of you!
