Student Free Day - Friday 1 September
The College will be closed on Friday 1 September 2023 for a Student Free Day / QCAA Staff Day. Please ensure other arrangements have been made for your daughter/son on this day.
Lost Property
There are several unnamed items which have not been claimed. On Friday 8 September, a table will be setup outside the Primary Administration Office 8:00am – 8:30am and 2:30pm – 3:30pm for these items to be claimed. Unclaimed items will be discarded or donated at the end of Term 3.
Reminder: please clearly name (full name or name and surname initial is helpful) all items, so that lost items can be returned to their owner promptly.
Homework Club Procedures (Years 3 to 6 only)
If you would like your child to utilise the Homework Club facility, they must be registered each week via studentservices@clayfield.qld.edu.au.
We will be following the below procedures each afternoon. Students are asked to bring some afternoon tea.

| 3:15pm - 3:30pm | Set up for learning and wait for all students to arrive for Homework Club. |
| 3:30pm – 3:45pm | Students are permitted to have a supervised play in Amphitheatre/ Leopard Terrace and eat their afternoon tea (students may bring a handball/ball for play). |
| 3:50pm - 4:15pm | Continue Homework tasks/ move to devices if needed/ games, Lego, reading, if Homework completed. |
Please note: The staff who are rostered on for Homework Club will be there to supervise students and assist should they require help; however, completion of homework is organised between the class teacher and the student. Staff who are at Homework Club are not always across individual homework needs.
Charlotte Barkla, Author Visit
This is the last opportunity to order a signed copy of Charlotte Barkla's book. Charlotte recently visited our Primary classes as part of Book Week.
Important Uniform Reminders
Transition to Summer Uniform
The Summer Uniform is compulsory from next week, being Week 9. Please note that the only change that impacts our Primary students relates to wearing shorter socks.
