Symphony of Stories: Book Week Hits All the Right Notes

Nobody could rain on our parade! Our 'Symphony of Stories' Book Week filled the school with music, imagination, and pure reading joy from start to finish.We kicked off in style with Frankie's coffee van, warming up parents and staff with a good brew and even better book chat before the bell.

The bookstall was a roaring success — shelves emptied fast as students hunted down new favourites to add to their home libraries. Thank you to everyone who supported it; every purchase helps grow our school's love of reading.

Tuesday's costume parade stole the show, with students (and our wonderfully game teachers!) stepping into the shoes of beloved book characters. From Wallys and Wendas to prowling piranhas, the playground became a sea of colour and imagination.

Excitement peaked as students discovered which titles took home 2026's top honours. It was the perfect finale to a term spent exploring orchestras, symphonies, and the art of storytelling — with Book Week striking the final, triumphant chord in our celebration of the best new Australian children's literature.

Thank you to our whole school community for helping this Symphony of Stories hit every note. Here's to another year of turning pages!
