 Book Week and Numeracy

This week at Westbreen we will be exploring the wonderful connections between stories and mathematics!

Just like a symphony is made up of different sounds, rhythms and instruments, mathematics is made up of different ideas, strategies and ways of thinking. Throughout the week, students will discover “mathematics in stories” through engaging book-themed activities and challenges.

We encourage families to join the fun at home by choosing a favourite book and asking:

What mathematics can you hear, see or discover in this story?
