Wellbeing and Inclusion Update

School-wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) is an evidence-based, whole-school framework that helps schools create positive, safe, predictable and inclusive learning environments.   Westbreen Primary School continues to implement this whole-school framework throughout all our teaching and learning programs with students, and daily interactions amongst all members of Team Westbreen.

A key part of SWPBS is recognising that positive behaviour needs to be clearly explained, explicitly taught, practised and encouraged, just like academic skills. The same expectations and language are used across classrooms, playgrounds and other school settings so students understand what is expected wherever they are. 

Students at Westbreen are taught these expectations through our the use and display of our Team Westbreen Behaviour Expectation Matrix.  We encourage all members of Team Westbreen to continue to support these expectations.

School Values

Thank to Ric (who looks after our maintenance around the school) who spent the last two Saturdays here at school installing our new School Values Totem poles.  Thanks Ric!!
