Prime Minister's Spelling Bee

A number of selected students from grades 3 - 6 participated this year in the Prime Minister's Spelling Bee for the first time. All students who participated did a fantastic job. The results are in  for the Spelling Bee School Round and we have 2 student advancing to the State/Territory Finals!

The student who will be advancing are:

BOOK WEEK 2026

Our Book Parade is on this Friday on the Basketball Court from 9.15 am - 10am. We encourage all students and families to get involved and dress up as a book character and bring your book along if you can!

Book Week at Westbreen

As part of our Book Week celebrations, our grade 3 students have been exploring the power of persuasive writing through the delightful book Dear Broccoli. Students have taken on the challenge of writing their own persuasive letters to Broccoli, sharing their opinions and trying to convince Broccoli to see things from their point of view!

ONLINE WORKSHOP WITH JOSH PYKE

Students took part in an online workshop put on by the State Library of Victoria to celebrate Book Week 2026. Singer-songwriter Josh Pyke worked with students across Victoria to explore themes, tone and rhyme to create a special and funny song. We even had a special shout-out on the live stream!
