St Michael’s School Advisory Council (SAC) Meeting Report
The School Advisory Council met on Thursday, August 20th. The council formally welcomed Damien to the team and expressed deep appreciation for the vibrant, dedicated spirit that defines the St Michael’s community.
During the meeting, the council reviewed operational updates and future planning, including upcoming calendar schedules, photo provider arrangements and progress on current infrastructure developments. As part of alignment with Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) directives, Damien shared ongoing adjustments to administrative structures, budgeting priorities and future planning to ensure long-term stability and fairness across all school operations.
Looking ahead, several updates were shared regarding community events and daily student services. The Parents & Friends (P&F) committee highlighted a busy calendar of upcoming initiatives, including Father’s Day celebrations, an Art Fair and various fundraising opportunities aimed at enhancing school resources. The next P&F meeting is scheduled for Thursday 27th August at 8:45am in the staffroom - all parents/carers are welcome!
Additionally, John proposed plans to trial a new external lunch order system before the end of term to offer families convenient, flexible food options. It was agreed that a trial will commence soon and families will be updated via the newsletter and nForma Connect App.
Father Nicholas shared updates on the current Sacramental program and the upcoming Transformed in Christ parish mission.
