Come celebrate St. Michael’s 2026 Book Week Parade
When: Tuesday 1st September, 2026
Where: Basketball Court
Time: 9:00am
Come dressed as a character with a weird or wonderful instrument.
Some ideas are…
-Blending musical elements with classic characters, or dressing up as popular Australian book icons like Thelma the Unicorn or characters from Possum Magic.
-Dress in normal clothes or a colourful cape, draw a music note on the cheek with face paint, and carry a toy instrument.
-Dress like Peter Pan: Wear a green outfit and carry a simple set of pan pipes.
-Dress like The Phantom of the Opera: Dress in black clothes and add a classic white masquerade mask.
-Dress like Classic Animal Parade: Classic characters like Paddington Bear, Peter Rabbit, or Grug can join the "symphony" simply by holding a home-made cardboard instrument (like a paper-towel roll clarinet or a Milo-tin drum).

Dear Parents & School Community
We are excited to invite you to support our upcoming St Michael’s Art Show, showcasing the exceptional talents of our students. The event promises to be a vibrant celebration of creativity, with works spanning various mediums and themes.
To enhance our Art program, we are seeking donations and sponsorships to acquire essential equipment, including six ‘Chomp saws’ and a 3D printer. These tools will enable our students to explore new techniques, develop their skills, and produce high-quality artwork.
Your contribution could be monetary, it could be a voucher for a service or an item that could be used as a prize for our raffle on the night. Our target is to raise $6000 and this will directly support our students' artistic growth and education.
In recognition of your support, we offer acknowledgement on social media, in the school newsletter and also on our event promotional materials.
