From the Head of Sport

Head of Sport Report
Last weekend saw the conclusion of the ISA Winter Sport competition with five of our teams advancing to the grand finals and four coming home premiers. Each game was a reflection of the efforts that these teams have put into training and improving their skills over the past two terms.
The Open B Girls Netball team displayed grit and resilience in what was always going to be a hard game. It was good to see their consistent effort until the final whistle. Their sportsmanship reflected the attitudes that we like to see at BMGS.
The Intermediate Girls Netball team delivered one of the most exciting matches of the season, keeping spectators on edge as the score remained close throughout before a surge in the final quarter to claim a five-goal victory. Great work girls!
On the football field, the First XI Girls demonstrated outstanding skill and composure to secure a commanding 4–0 win over Chevalier College. A team they had struggled against in their last meet.
The First XI Boys faced a strong and skilled St Pat’s side in a match of shared possession and high intensity. Playing with patience and good concentration the team was able to record a hard-fought 2–1 victory.
The 14 Years Boys rounded out a successful weekend showcasing some great footwork and confidence to score four exciting goals against a strong Oakhill team, finishing with a convincing 4–1 result.
Congratulations to all players, coaches and supporters on an excellent season and thank you for the commitment and enthusiasm that resulted in a successful winter of ISA sport.
