As we move through Week 6 of Term 3, I am pleased to share a snapshot of recent events, important reminders, and exciting upcoming activities at Epping Views.

This year’s Book Week Parade was a spectacular celebration of imagination and storytelling, with around 200 parents and family members joining us for one of the most exciting events on the school calendar. The 2025 theme, ‘Book an Adventure,’ truly came to life and the school grounds were transformed into a living storybook, with everything from swashbuckling pirates and curious wizards to minions and aliens and classic fairytale heroes. The creativity and effort on display was simply outstanding!

Students across all year levels put incredible thought into their costumes, and many classrooms used the opportunity to dive deeper into the stories their characters came from, exploring themes of bravery, friendship, and curiosity.

Our staff got into the spirit, with many joining forces to create group themes that added extra sparkle to the day — from Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, Dr Seuss and so much more.

Our Principal/Leadership team joined in the fun by becoming part of the classic Snow White tale — and we were lucky enough to find not one, not two, but three Snow Whites to join Happy, Sneezy, Dopey, Sleepy, Doc, Grumpy, and Bashful.

A special thanks to Harpreet for organising such a memorable event and to all the parents and carers who supported their children in preparing their costumes and attending the Character Parade.

The Year 2 Dinner & Disco was a great success! The students enjoyed pizza, dancing and games and making new friends. There were some amazing dance moves and loud singing voices.

Staff wellbeing week

Last week was staff wellbeing week, designed to celebrate and support our dedicated team. On Thursday we had a special baked potato lunch …. food always puts a smile on the teachers' faces! This provided the perfect opportunity for colleagues to connect and enjoy each other’s company over a hot lunch! We also enjoyed a meeting free week which allowed us to focus on our families and reenergising ourselves half way through the term so we can be our best for the students.

Hats are Back!

A reminder that students require their school hat in line with our School Sun Protection Policy Please support your child to have their hat every day and ensure it clearly labelled with their name. Students who are not wearing appropriate protective clothing or hats will be asked to use available areas of shade when outdoors or a suitable area protected from the sun.

Lunchtime Reminders for Families

A friendly reminder to all parents and carers to please ensure your child brings a packed lunch each day. If you’d like to send warm food, a thermos is a great option to help keep meals hot and ready to enjoy.

We’re also fortunate at EVPS to have a fantastic school canteen that provides a wide variety of healthy and tasty options for students daily.

To help us keep lunchtime routines running smoothly for everyone, we kindly ask that food is not dropped off during the school day. This helps us ensure a fair and consistent approach for all students and reduces the need for additional support from our office staff.

Thank you for your continued support in making our school a calm, organised, and inclusive place for all.

ARE YOU MOVING ON IN 2026?

We are now well and truly in the planning phase for 2026 and as such it is important that we have an accurate indication of our student numbers for next year. If you are planning on relocating at the end of the year or leaving us for any other reasons, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can best support the transition of your child to another school setting. Parent / Carer / Guardian Opinion Survey

Please complete the Parent/Carer/Guardian Opinion Survey. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we have encouraged all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies. The link has been posted to all families on Compass on the 22nd of August. We have currently received 10 responses to the survey.
