Canine Comprehension

So far in Canine Comprehension our students have engaged in a wide range of activities designed to build their social, emotional, and communication skills. They have explored themes such as teamwork, resilience, emotional awareness, worry management, and redefining what it means to achieve a “win.” Across the sessions, students have practised recognising and expressing emotions, understanding non-verbal cues, and developing strategies to manage challenges both individually and as a group.
Through hands-on experiences with Victor, students have strengthened their ability to problem-solve, collaborate, and adapt to new situations. Activities have encouraged them to reflect on their thinking, show empathy, and apply patience and persistence in meaningful ways. Overall, the program has provided opportunities for students to build confidence, strengthen peer relationships, and develop skills that support their wellbeing and learning both inside and outside the classroom.
