Footy Day- Friday, 19th of September

Wollert Footy Day is scheduled for Friday, September 19th. On the last day of the term, students are encouraged to wear their footy colours and make a gold coin donation. This event will celebrate all football codes from Australia and around the world. On that day, students will also have the option to pre-purchase a $1 sausage or veggie burger for lunch. More information will be sent to families via Compass this week.

Wollert Primary School Reading Challenge

We are excited to share that Wollert Primary School is taking part in a whole-school Reading Challenge this term! Our wonderful librarian, Jackie, has organised this challenge to encourage a love of reading and to set exciting goals across the school.

  • Foundation – Year 2 students have a target of reading 250 books by the end of term.
  • Year 3 – 6 students are aiming for 350 books (or chapters) by the end of term.

To track progress, for every 25 books read collectively, teachers will add a fish with their class number to our special library display.

At the end of the term, the class that reads the most books will win a special fish and chip lunch to celebrate their achievement! The challenge runs until the end of the term – we can’t wait to see how many books our students will enjoy together. Let’s get reading!
