MOCA

Mazenod Old Collegians' Association

In the past week, we have experienced some great events which involved many of our Old Collegians. The recent Mazenod College versus Panthers’ All-Abilities Football Team was an excellent display of football skills, camaraderie and joy! Of course, our wonderful Panthers’ Football Team won this closely fought match. So many Old Boys were either involved in this event or attended as supporters. It was a magnificent evening!

Founder's Day Celebration

Last Saturday, 24th May, we were delighted to attend the celebration of St Eugene de Mazenod “Founder’s Day”, hosted by our Mazenod Old Collegians’ Football Club. We listened to inspiring messages from our guest speakers, Fr Harry Dyer OMI and Peter Banfield. Both men delivered powerful messages inviting us to live out the Charism of St Eugene de Mazenod through our commitment to looking after each other, supporting one another and through our compassion and care for our Community. We were invited to “Leave nothing undared for the Kingdom of God”.

Fr Brendan Dillon - First Anniversary Mass

Everyone is warmly invited to attend Mass to pray for the Soul of Fr Brendan Dillon RIP on the first anniversary of his death.

The Mass will be celebrated by Fr Kevin Dillon at 7pm on Friday, 6th June, 2025, at St Leonard’s Catholic Church, 349 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley, 3150.

Many of our Old Boys and their families will remember that Fr Brendan Dillon was on our Mazenod College Board for nearly twenty-three years. He served as our Canonical Administrator. In addition, Fr Brendan always supported Mazenod College; he attended our Musicals, Speech Nights, Festivals, Art Shows, etc. Fr Brendan always made himself available to support our Mazenod Community by celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation with us each year. This occurred prior to Easter and during Advent. Moreover, Fr Brendan was always available to assist our wider College Community with the celebration of Liturgies: Masses, Marriages, Funerals, etc. He was the consummate Priest and loved everyone.

Employment

Part of our commitment to our Old Collegians is to be able to assist them with opportunities for employment. If any of our Old Collegians have job opportunities, or even require support in gaining employment, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our MOCA Community is extensive, and we are very privileged and blessed to support one another.
