Bridgette 5/6

Tyler runs from the shadows ready to face the destroyed city, his parents nowhere to be seen. He falls to the ground in tears until Lola shows behind him, she calms Tyler down with a gentle pat on the back. They get startled by a big thump ‘THE DRAGONS BACK!’ Lola screams, they run with the beast close behind them, so Tyler did the first thing to cross his mind so he grabbed a rock and through it, it landed in the dragon's eye the beast fell to the ground with another large thud. ‘Is it dead? Tyler asked but all Lola could manage was a small shrug. The two slowly came forward and noticed it was, it was dead. Both their faces lit up and became smiles as they wondered what crazy adventure they might have next.

As the walls closed in on Sabrina, she used a special bird called a black crow. She grabbed onto the crow quickly before the walls fully closed in. When she saw the building…it was in a jungle. Someone must have put her there while she was sleeping.

As the sun sets down the shining water the girl feels the nice breeze touch her soft skin she smiles and puts her hair behind her ear she knows everything is ok her feelings can’t get to her anymore she feels the water sway on her feet while she holds the striped shell. She lays down in the warm sand and sticks to her damp feet. She now knows that she is ok she can push through.

Jake edged nervously down the half broken ladder, the mist cleared and he saw his surroundings. Fire burned crimson red on bloody walls but the palace was the worst of all with blackstone walls lined with gold it really was a striking feature for the of the most distant realm. As much as he didn't want to, he pushed on because of the urge of the realm and then he found why a scroll had something about it, maybe the glow, maybe the urge to open it was overpowering then he did.

Silky droplets dribble down her brisk cheeks, she gasps for air, her fingertips gently skimming the jagged edges of a parchment which reveals the last memory of her father. Emotions rapidly flood into her head, she never thought it would end like this. She missed her dad so badly that she felt incomplete like a puzzle missing the last piece. How could she bear a second without him but he was dangerous. There's a reason why he is locked up forever.

Dear Diary,

Today I am fighting for my country and for my life as a representative of my country. I am surrounded by cold, muddy bodies. The earth’s soil is beneath my feet. I feel brave, stressed and proud. Smelling all the bloody bodies and smoke that surrounds me. Missing my family for weeks turning into months then years. I have served my country and army for 20 years and I hope I survive. I train day and night. I am a proud army officer and always will be.

Dear Diary,

I wish I could see my children. I stayed awake all night as gun fire filled the night. Corpse piled the trenches, emptied barbed wire everywhere, bred mortar shells exploding, as the rat-infested fields sickened the platoon. Fields soaking wet from blood smoke filled air. As my trembling hands gripped my metal gun! I started to fire as I taste the bitter air around me.

My day is very depressing because I see dead corpse everywhere and it makes me feel like I will become one. Not to mention the moaning and screaming in the distance. I can touch and taste very warm blood and smell rats that haunt me. I miss my best friend who died from tetanus. I hope to see him one day. I hope to make it back in this state or not. I ‘ll be home soon.

Every day I wake up to the sound of gunshots. I regret my decision and keep asking myself Why? Why? I can taste the blood of the dead around me. I feel homesick and I hope the war ends soon because I don’t think I can make it any longer. Please take me out of this brutal war. It’s muddy and cold and I miss playing soccer with my friends. I’m begging, please take me home. I can hear the screams of the dead, it haunts me! I hope I can get home soon and I hope I can make it!

Dear Diary,

My day is not going great right now. Most of my allies have fallen but we are even in numbers. I should not have chosen to be a part of this army. Every second bullets are being shot, my ears can’t take it anymore. The smell of ash is hurtful, the sounds of bombs are filling the area. My shots at the snipers are not accurate but still making a difference. My hands are tingling whilst bullets are being shot. I cannot bare to see how many people are dead. I feel scared and don’t want to be shot. I miss being back in Australia. At home there are no bombs, no guns and no deaths. I feel lonely, sad and scared. I hope I can make it back home alive.

Today is very quiet. It’s foggy and I can taste the guilt inside me. I miss my families’ traditions, the fun bright sky, the joy…… but it’s cloudy and darker than ever here. I can sense the danger lurking beneath me calling out to me. I miss my old mates who used to help make me smile. But I guess that came with a cost. Every day we march until our feet wobble and fight surrounded by lots of noise, facing our fears whilst firing gun shots. I hope with all the hope in me that this terrible, miserable war ends soon. That the pain I have within will rise and leave me. My heart drops every second that I am here because it’s unbearable. I hope I will see the blue sky again soon!
