Term 4 Week 4
As we approach the end of another busy school year, it's time to prepare for our annual library stocktake!
We kindly ask that all library books be returned by Friday, 20th November (Week 6).
Thank you for your support in helping us ensure all books are accounted for and ready for another year of reading and learning!
This award recognises students who show consistent effort, progress, and enthusiasm in their reading.
Congratulations to our October Reader of the Month recipients:
Ayaan M3
Lucas T19
Ellie F15

Here's how borrowing works in the library:
Reception - Can borrow 4 books
Years 1, 2, 3, 4 - Can borrow 8 books
Years 5 and 6 - Can borrow 10 books
Parents/Caregivers - Can borrow 10 books
Please note: The borrowing numbers listed above are a guide. Classroom teachers may adjust how many books students can borrow at a time based on their class routines and individual needs. If you’re ever unsure, please check with your classroom teacher.
Please remember to bring your library bag (Reception and Year 1/2) and return any overdue books before borrowing again. Books may be kept for up to 2 weeks. If you’ve forgotten to return a book, no worries! Just pop it into the returns box when you can.
Students can return books by placing them in their classroom library box or directly into the green returns box in Tirkandi.
Please note that only staff members may use the returns computer. If you come across a book that’s been damaged, please place it in the Book Doctor box so it can be repaired.
Computer borrowing is available for Years 3 to 6 each morning from 8:40am to 8:50am. These computers are for students who have damaged their own device or forgotten to bring it.
All borrowed computers must be returned to the library by the end of the day.
If a computer is forgotten three times, borrowing will pause for three days.
If it happens again, the restriction period will be extended.
The school library policy regarding overdue, lost, or damaged books is as follows:
If a book is lost or returned damaged, a $15 fee will be charged.
If the book is found later, the full amount will be reimbursed.
Students will not be able to borrow further books until the overdue book is returned or the replacement fee is paid. All collected fees go directly toward replacing the lost or damaged item.
Happy reading! ✨
