Principal's Page

Dear Families,
We gathered as a school on Friday for the Beginning of the School Year Mass. The Gospel was, "I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” Fr Angelo spoke to all of us about looking out for one another, being kind and thinking of others.
Our Year Six leaders stated their pledge to try their best to live out the mission of Jesus in the St Joseph's School community and be "better together."
Congratulations to our newly elected School Captains Ivy and William. We met today and both students shared their hopes for the year. Congratulations also to Flynn, Isabella and Maggie (Sustainability) Vesper and Zara (The Arts) and Billie and Charlie (Sport).
Building Project Update
We are extremely excited to announce that we have a start date for the building project. The Baxter Group will begin their site set-up on Monday 23rd February. You will notice that valet will be a bit shorter and the portable toilets will be in the Friendship Garden. The Prep and Year 1/2 classes will move out of their present learning spaces on Wednesday 25th February. We will keep you informed of the progress and changes in our regular routines and/or structures. The library will be moving into the Science Room, the Preps into the Library and the 1/2 classes into the hall.
nForma
Thank you everyone for your patience as we implement nForma. We are beginning to see some improvements in its use. Please email any feedback you have as a local company who designed the program respond and are continually improving the platform.
School Advisory Council
The School Advisory Council (SAC) acts as a consultative body that supports the principal and school leadership by providing advice on strategic planning, school improvement, and policy development, specifically representing the parent community and ensuring the school's vision is upheld. It is a non-governing body focused on long term goals rather than day to day. The SAC will meet seven times this year at 2:00 pm on Tuesday afternoons. If you would like to join the SAC, please email me.
