The Arts - 2026 Major Events Calendar

Welcome back for 2026! We have plenty of exciting opportunities for students to engage in the Arts at Girton this year. We are delighted to announce our major events for 2026:

Senior School Production – The Crucible – 17– 19 June

Ensembles Concerts – 11 and 12 August

ArtsFest – 10 – 13 September

Put these dates in your diary and we will have more information to come!

Music Lessons

Our Instrumental Instructors are busy getting timetables and lessons organised for the school year. We are delighted to welcome a number of new instructors this year. We ask that families are patient as we work through lesson allocations and the waiting list at this time.

As musicians and teachers, we are acutely aware of the positive effect of music education on young minds. Dr Anita Collins is an educator, researcher, and writer in the field of brain development and music learning. She breaks down the benefits of including music in your child’s education in the video below.

Middle School Production 2026

Students in Years 7–9 are warmly invited to attend the official information session for our 2026 Middle School Production, High School Musical: One Act Edition.

If you have ever wanted to sing, dance, act, or simply see what all the excitement is about, this session is for you. We will outline audition details, rehearsal expectations, key dates, and what it takes to join the Wildcats.

Whether you are a seasoned performer or simply curious to learn more, all are welcome to attend and discover what’s involved.

Date: Wednesday 11 February

Time: Lunchtime

Location: Black Box Theatre

Bring your questions, your curiosity, and perhaps a touch of school spirit. After all, this could be the start of something new!
