VCE Season of Excellence

The VCE Season of Excellence celebrates the remarkable talents of Victoria's senior secondary students. This year, Girton Grammar is delighted to announce three students have been selected for Top Designs: Genevieve Draper (12 Aherne), Madeleine Ching (12 Frew) and Jet Edwards-Perry (Class of 2025).

Their submissions will be displayed at Melbourne Museum in April 2026.

We were also delighted to learn that Oscar Woods (Class of 2025) has been invited to perform at Top Class - Music after achieving an excellent result for his Music Repertoire Performance examination. Oscar will perform “At First Light” at the Melbourne Recital Centre in March 2026, and we wish him all the best with the performance.

We invite you to join us in celebrating our VCE students' hard work. Click here to find out more.

VCE Conference 2026

Our annual VCE Conference was held on 21–22 January. As always, it was a great experience for our Year 12 students to prepare for the year ahead, exploring different universities and taking part in campus tours and presentations.

During the conference, students visited several top universities, each offering something unique. These visits proved helpful in enabling our students to begin making informed decisions about their future studies.

Overall, the 2026 VCE Conference provided an enriching opportunity for our students to get valuable insights into university life and make informed decisions about their future studies.

Student Leadership Day

In readiness for the coming school year, Girton Grammar held its 2026 Student Leadership Program today. Year 11 and 12 school leaders participated in a range of activities designed to enhance their natural leadership qualities and deepen their understanding of the expectations and responsibilities of being a student leader at Girton.

We can't wait to see what they bring to our school this year.

Welcome Year Seven Students!

As Year Seven students begin their first days of secondary school, they embark on an exciting Induction Program designed to help them feel confident and prepared for the year ahead. Throughout these early lessons, they set up their books and materials, learn the routines and expectations of secondary school, and take time to set meaningful academic and personal goals. Just as importantly, they engage in activities that help them get to know their classmates and build positive relationships within their House and their classes. Together, these experiences lay a strong foundation for a successful and connected start to their secondary school journey.
