Kids Corner

In this fortnight’s Kids Corner section, I am delighted to share something a little different. The Year 4 children have been learning about notetaking and below are some of their responses to an information report about the Coorong.
Kabeer:
The Coorong is a protective place in South Australia, plus it is a wetland.
Coorong is a protected area that preserves unique habitats along the coast.
Coorong National Park is located 200km south east of Adelaide. It is a long and narrow, stretching from Goolwa and Coorong Channels and the Northern and Southern lagoons.
The Coorong is really important land in the southeast and to many water birds.
Cameron:
The Coorong is a protected wetland located 200km southeast of Adelaide. It is a protected area preserving unique habitats. It stretches from Goolwa Barrage to Kingston. It features lagoons, ocean beach, sand dunes and the surrounding land.
Saanvi:
The Coorong is a large protected wetland located in South Australia. Coorong National Park is a protected habitat for many waterbirds and animals. It is located 200km southeast of Adelaide, stretching from Goolwa Barrage to almost Kingston. The Coorong is a large wetland which is extremely important for Australian habitats.
Thiruni:
The Coorong is a stretched wetland located in South Australia. It is long and narrow, stretching from Goolwa Barrage to nearly Kingston. The Coorong is a long stretch on the coastline, about 90 miles long that preserves unique habitats. It features ocean beaches, sand dunes, Coorong channels, northern and southern lagoons and the surrounding land. The Coorong is a special place filled with wetlands in South Australia.
Keonna:
The Coorong is a protected area, located in South Australia. It is a very long stretch of coastline, nearly 90 miles long. It preserves unique habitats across the coastline. Coorong National Park is located southeast of Adelaide and is long and narrow. It is 200km long, there is a long stretch from Goolwa to Kingston. Some features of the area are the Barrage, Murray Mouth, the Southern Ocean and many other beautiful places. The Coorong is a very special place and important to the ecosystem.
