2026 Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC)

The 2026 Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) is well underway!

The PRC encourages a love of reading for leisure and pleasure, inspiring students to experience a wide range of quality literature. It is not a competition, but a personal challenge for each student to read more, read widely, and discover new books.

📅 Important Date

Premier's Reading Challenge closes: Friday, 18th September, 2026 (Week 9)

To successfully complete the challenge, students must read and record the required number of books from the 2026 PRC Book Lists by the closing date.

Reading Requirements

  • Kindergarten–Year 2: Read 30 books

  • Years 3–6: Read 20 books

Students who successfully complete the Premier's Reading Challenge will receive a certificate at the end of the year.

If your child is still working towards completing the challenge, there is still plenty of time! We encourage all students to keep reading and recording their books before the closing date.

During Book Fair week, the library will transform into a colourful pop-up bookshop filled with exciting books for students of all ages.

Students will have the opportunity to browse and purchase books during the school day, and parents and carers are warmly welcome to visit after school.

Every purchase helps support our school library by providing new books and resources for our students.

We can't wait to celebrate Book Week and see everyone's amazing costumes, creative artwork and enthusiasm for reading.
