Attendance Matters – Term 2

As we begin Term 2, we are taking the opportunity for a fresh start and a renewed focus on ensuring every student has the best possible beginning to the term.

Regular school attendance continues to be a key priority at LPPS and plays an important role in supporting student wellbeing, learning, and overall success. When students attend school consistently, they are better able to build friendships, strengthen their sense of belonging, and engage fully in learning opportunities.

A strong start to the term provides an important foundation for students to feel settled, confident, and ready to learn. Every day at school is a valuable opportunity to support your child’s progress and connection to their learning community.

How families can support strong attendance:

  • Reach out early if you have any concerns, we are here to work in partnership with you
  • Talk positively about school and the importance of attending every day
  • Notify the school promptly about any absences
  • Where possible, avoid routine appointments or family holidays during term time

For more information about school attendance, please visit:https://www.vic.gov.au/attendance-and-missing-school

If you need any support with your child’s attendance or transition into Term 2, please contact your classroom teacher or our wellbeing team. We are here to support every child to have a positive and successful start to the term.

Thank you!
