Year 12’s Final Week of School

Last week, our Year 12s celebrated their final week of school in true Toogoolawah spirit! The week was filled with laughter and fun, from supporting the Year 11 Free Dress Day to dressing up as their “younger selves” and participating in the “Anything But a Bag” challenge. The celebrations continued with Awards Night and the Year 12-only trip to Bli Bli Aqua Park, Maroochydore Beach and Sunshine Plaza. It was a perfect way to reflect on 13 years of hard work, perseverance and friendship. Well done, seniors!

Year 12 Exams

Our Year 12 students have officially commenced their external exams! For many, walking out of the exam room has brought a visible sense of relief and accomplishment, one less weight on their shoulders. Some students are still finalising outstanding assessment tasks and are required to attend school until all work is submitted. Others have completed their final pieces and are enjoying a well-deserved break before returning for Graduation and Formal celebrations. Congratulations to all students for the maturity and perseverance shown during this busy final stretch.

Year 12 Leaving Parade & BBQ Breakfast

On the morning of Friday, 21 November, the entire school will gather to farewell and celebrate our Year 12 students during the Leaving Parade. This event recognises the many contributions, leadership and spirit our seniors have shared throughout their time at TSHS. Families are warmly invited to arrive early and enjoy a BBQ breakfast

before the parade begins. It’s sure to be a memorable morning of pride, emotion and community spirit.

Year 12 Formal

The highly anticipated Year 12 Formal will be held on Friday, 21 November, with arrivals from 2:00pm. The Toogoolawah community is invited to witness the stunning arrivals, a showcase of elegant gowns, sharp suits and smiling faces. This evening is a chance for students to celebrate their achievements and the friendships that have shaped their high school journey. We can’t wait to see our seniors shine!

A Year 11 PDP Venture

A huge congratulations to our Year 11 students on the success of their recent Australian-themed PDP Venture event! The cohort worked collaboratively to plan, promote and host a vibrant celebration of Australian culture, showcasing creativity and teamwork. Funds raised from the event will go directly towards supporting the 2026 Senior Formal (venue to be announced soon). A special thank you to Mrs Lovelock, Miss Stevenson and Mrs Gibson for their ongoing support and guidance throughout this venture.

2026 Senior Jerseys and Shirts

Exciting news for our soon-to-be seniors! Information has gone home regarding the 2026 Senior Jerseys and Shirts. Sample sizes are available at school for students to try on before placing their orders. Orders must be submitted by Monday, 17 November. The earlier the order is finalised, the sooner our 2026 seniors can proudly wear their jerseys at the start of next year!

Level 1 Applications Now Open

Year 11 students are now encouraged to apply or reapply for Level 1. To attain Level 1 status, students are required to complete an application form outlining their commitment to both academic effort and achievement, as well as their active involvement in school and community life. This recognition reflects not only excellence in learning but also leadership, participation and service. Students wishing to apply for or maintain Level 1 are encouraged to come and see me for further information and application support.

Attendance Matters. Keep It Up, Year 11!

As we near the end of the school year, it’s important that all Year 11 students maintain at least 90% attendance. Every lesson counts, right up to the final bell! Thank you to our students for their continued effort and engagement, and to our families for the consistent support behind the scenes. Let’s finish the year strong!

Assessment and Final Dates

A reminder that the final day for Year 11 students is Friday 28 November. All assessment items must be completed and submitted before this date. Students can look forward to a well-earned break once all requirements are finalised. Great job to all Year 11s for their continued commitment to learning!
