The day started with the School March Past, not expecting it, our small five riders somehow received 1st out of all the schools, hooray! We then prepared ourselves for the hacking classes, Josie got 1st in everything, Peyton did all right she got 2nd in rider, 3rd in hack, 4th lead class. Pollyanna flew through hers receiving 1st in hack, 2nd in rider, 4th in pleasure and 1st in handler. Matilda smashed through hers receiving 3rd in hack, 4th in rider, 2nd in pleasure and 3rd in handler and Charlie despite not receiving a place still did an astonishing job handling his horse. 

The day was so hot that ice cream wouldn't even cool us off but we still had to do sporting. You can tell that Peyton went terribly knocking pegs and dropping flags getting yelled at by Miss McMenim and Chloe Klingner. But she still went good, nearly getting a reserve point score. Josie went really well but she just knocked one peg and got places in most of the events. Pollyanna gave it her best but didn't receive a ribbon in the sporting event. Matilda went really well getting ribbons in nearly all events. On the other hand Charlie knocked a peg in the western bend but still got a place in every other sporting event.

Despite being a blaring hot day, we were frustrated to be informed that the presentation was mounted! We finished up our sporting and headed to line up with the rest of the schools, everyone from our school did so well, they all gave it a shot and placed in many events and at the end of the day Josie was awarded 12 years Highest Pointscore and was given an embroidered rug and a sash. 

On behalf of the students that attended this event Peyton and Josie would like to thank Miss Mcmeniman for coming along and making sure we were actually allowed to ride, Mrs Fletcher for preparing us by giving out saddle cloths, ties and brow bands, and of course our parents for being our taxis to get us to and from Tenterfield.
