Girls AFL GALA Day 

On Thursday 6th of August Auburn South Girls playing in the Division GALA day in Balwyn. The team consisting of Madi G, Carrie C, Alex W, Imogen C, Tessa M, Harper H, Chloe H, Alex W, Jade O, Alice H, Alice T, Sophia B and  Summer M all played with great team spirit and managed to finish third overall for Boroondara on the day.

In the first game Auburn South played St Michael’s and won by a point. In the second game Auburn South played Kew East PS the eventual winners and Auburn South PS lost by 3 points 24 to 21. 

Auburn South then played Chatham PS and the girls put on a dominant display to win by 24 points. Then Auburn South played Solway PS and in another close match Auburn South won by 5 points. In the final group game Auburn South played Canterbury PS and lost 19 to 7. Auburn South then played a third place play off against Kew PS and won 11 to 2 in what was a great team effort.

ASPS Snow Sports

A small but mighty team represented Auburn South Primary School at the interschool ski competition held at Mt Buller recently.

For most of them it was their first time competing, taking part in moguls and ski cross events with lots of heart and even bigger smiles. A highlight was the opening ceremony; an Olympics style parade announcing all the schools competing, followed by some incredible fireworks on the snow covered mountain.

A big well done to Will C and Tommy T in grade 2, and Tom G and Hugh S in grade 5.
