Book Week Parade 2026

Victorian State School Spectacular

The Victorian State Schools Spectacular is a unique program and performing arts opportunity for Victorian government primary schools and secondary schools students. The program annually showcases young talented students’ skills and their achievements throughout the year. The program has been a cherished and memorable experience for all the participants, from vocalists to dancers, musicians to the choir.

For both this year and last year, I’ve been participating in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular program, which is my pleasure to be a part of. On Saturday 29th of August, this year’s show was held with the theme “This is me” at John Cain Arena. It’s such an incredible program with all the talented young people all across Victoria gathered together to rehearse every week and showcase their skills and talents. It gave me an opportunity to play a role in the orchestra and explore different genres of music, from classical to popular, from ballads to raps. Unfortunately, this year will be my very last year allowed to participate in this amazing program, which I’m very sad to know, so I’d like to encourage all of you to have a go at auditioning for it, and the role doesn’t matter.

So I’d like to thank all of you for your support throughout this year and especially the production week. It has been a very difficult time for me to rehearse everyday during the production week, and a hard time for me to accept the reality that it’ll be my last year doing it. Overall, I really recommend everyone to watch the show, to participate in the show and to actually enjoy the show, I guarantee you'll never regret it. No matter what role you get, every part is important and every experience is worth having. I can’t wait to see you on Channel 7 next year!
