Sport
LHC students were involved in the EMR Athletics on Wednesday October 9th. There were several fantastic performances from each our students who were fantastic representatives of the College. A particular mention goes to the following students for finishing in the top three in multiple events:
Harry F. – 3rd place (Shot Put and Discus)
Finn S. – 3rd Place (100m and 200m)
EMR Year 8 Hockey
What a day! Right from the outset the weather was against us; our players battled winds, torrential rain and thunderstorms at the Hawthorn Hockey Centre. For many players this was the first time they had seen a full sized hockey pitch or played in a competitive match situation. All players grabbed the opportunity and played with heart, passion and determination. The learning growth was outstanding to watch; players passed, talked and rose to the occasion. We played three matches and despite being novices we did not look out of place. We ended the day with two narrow losses and one draw. An excellent day and I hope the team will look forward to building further next year.
Year 8 EMR Table Tennis
The boys team played really well in their EMR round, narrowly losing in all their games; one against the previous State Champs. They played with determination and clearly enjoyed the experience.
Student Achievement
