Roselea 2-6 Choir

The Roselea 2-6 choir has been practising hard at lunchtime each week as The Epping District Festival of Music on the 6th of November draws closer.   Last Thursday, amid the deluge, we gathered for a combined rehearsal at Epping West Public School. The choir  enjoyed learning different parts of the music in more detail and singing together with over 200 students. 

Thank you so much to the wonderful choir parents who delivered their children warm and dry to the school to enable them to rehearse in comfort. Thank you also to our fabulous office staff and Mrs Gurrier Jones who quickly organised this change once it was clear it would be too wet to walk. Hopefully we can resume our usual walk for the next rehearsal in October.

Musica Viva Performance 

On 6th August the Musica Viva ensemble El Camino entertained us with music from South America. The students loved seeing and hearing them play many unusual instruments such as zampones and charango.  By joining in with rhythms, movement, vocal parts and some even on instruments, our students were immersed in the songs  from the Andes region and extended their knowledge of many concepts of music itself.
