PBL Focus: Safe Play in the Playground

Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus for the next fortnight will be safe play in the playground, emphasising the importance of not running on hard surfaces such as concrete and asphalt.

During this time, we will remind students that while play is an important part of the school day, making safe choices is equally important to keep themselves and others safe.

Our key objectives include:

  • Encouraging students to walk on hard surfaces and save running for the grass or designated play areas.
  • Helping students understand the risks of running on concrete, such as slips, trips and falls.
  • Reinforcing how small actions, like slowing down, can help keep everyone safe.
  • Supporting students to look out for one another and remind their peers to make safe choices.

Our goal is to create a school environment where students feel confident to play, explore and have fun safely.

We understand how exciting the playground can be, and it’s easy to forget the rules during a fun game. That’s why we are taking this opportunity to remind everyone that being safe is just as important as having fun.

Thank you for your support in helping our students make safe and respectful choices every day.
